2011 April General Meeting Report

The Annual General Meeting of the Ontario Chapter of the MTFCI was held April 15/16, 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Vaughan, Ontario hosted by Gord & Anne Morton. The format was very casual with folks either partaking of the whole weekend of fellowship or only attending the always important AGM. The response was very good and I know everyone enjoyed the time together.

2010 October Tour Report from Ilderton

October brought twenty cars from the Model T and Heritage 35 Clubs together to the home of Bert & Mary Vanderwal near Ilderton. Saturday took us to an amazing quilt store, then an interesting antique store. We toured on and stopped in Strathroy at a Farmers Market where we bought our Christmas tree in a pot and some locally grown veggies.

2010 September Tour Report from Coboconk

September's Model T Tour brought us to Coboconk. We took a leisurely drive there on the Friday afternoon stopping at some nice bakeries in little towns on the way including some awesome pastries as a supper stop. We didn't realize that Coboconk is a summer cottager's hideaway at the lake. It's the highest point of navigable fresh waters in the world on the Trent Severn waterway so lots of locks are in the area.

2010 August Tour Report from Durham

We were happy to arrive at the Durham Conservation Area Campground about 5:30 p.m. Durham is south of Owen Sound, and a campfire in the evening gave everyone a chance to get reacquainted with old friends & make some new ones. It was nice to have Len and Marilyn Rolls out on their first tour. Our first stop on Saturday was a huge home building centre with the wood worker in mind. If you need tooling for any type of wood working that is the place to go, so all the men were in heaven.
